ALUMNI, PARENTS & FRIENDS OF THE DIVISION
The Physical and Biological Sciences faculty are world renowned researchers and teachers, with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary science in the interest of society. Help us continue our growth as a world-class University by getting involved.
Join the alumni association and the online community.
Your membership into the alumni association benefits you and UCSC. Thirty percent of your dues go to special projects in your college. Learn more and join the UCSC alumni association.
Any alumni can join the online community for free. Reconnect with old friends in the searchable online directory, or by creating your own profile, register for events and reunions online, post a resume and search for a job or use the business card exchange with other alumni.
Support the division or your department.
As a nationally-ranked research university, our mission of maintaining excellence in teaching, research, and public service is a challenging and important one. Excellence has a price, and we rely on you to keep UCSC’s reputation as a research university with an uncommon commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. The Division of Physical and Biological Sciences needs your help more than ever to continue providing high quality programs and resources for our students.
Make a financial gift. Gifts can be targeted to a particular area or project, for example:
Dean’s project fund supports scholarship and fellowship opportunities, research, and core facilities to benefit all members of the division.
Departmental gift funds may be unrestricted (to be used at the discretion of the department) or support lecture series, scholarships and fellowships, or much-needed equipment.
Research groups distribute seed money for innovative interdisciplinary projects aimed at solving today’s environmental and health problems. Research Units include:
Public Service outreach efforts such as the Seymour Marine Discovery Center, Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Group, and Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics take scientific breakthroughs out of the ivory tower and into the community.
Building funds enable us to provide state-of-the art research and teaching centers.
Donate online now at our secure server. Gifts to the Dean’s project fund can simply select “Physical and Biological Sciences” designation from the provided menu. For a specific departmental, research, or outreach gift, please choose “Other” and type in the name of the beneficiary of your support.
